San Antonio Spurs Executive Monty Williams Speaks at Men’s Ministry Sunday

Former NBA player and current executive Monty Williams has a powerful story to share. On Sunday, he will speak at the Southeast Christian Church in Middletown, Kentucky.

The Sunday evening event begins at 5 p.m. and it is open to the community. Williams will talk about overcoming adversity and being stronger together.

There are a variety of games that will take place, including a half-court competition with Williams. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 or at the door for $15.

Williams lost his wife last year in a car crash while he was serving as the associate head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder. He received the 2017 Sager Strong award at the NBA Awards Show for his response to that tragedy.

Williams is currently the vice president of basketball operations for the San Antonio Spurs. He was the head coach at New Orleans for five seasons and reached the playoffs twice.

Williams got his start in coaching as an assistant for the Portland Trail Blazers. He had a nine-year playing career with five different franchises.
