Shea Ralph Biography

Shea Ralph is the head coach of Vanderbilt University's women's basketball team, appointed in April 2021. In her third season (2023–24), she led the Commodores to a 23–10 record and their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2014, marking one of the program's most significant turnarounds. A former standout guard at the University of Connecticut, Ralph was the 2000 NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player and Big East Player of the Year, helping UConn capture the national championship that season. After being selected in the 2001 WNBA Draft, she transitioned into coaching due to injuries, spending 13 seasons as an assistant at UConn and contributing to six national titles.
