Oscar Piastri Biography

Oscar Jack Piastri drives for McLaren‑Mercedes in Formula 1 as the team's driver number 81. He achieved a remarkable rise through junior racing categories by winning the 2019 Formula Renault Eurocup followed by consecutive FIA Formula 3 (2020) and Formula 2 (2021) championships while becoming the first driver to win all three titles.

Piastri joined McLaren in 2023 after serving as Alpine's reserve driver in 2022 when he achieved his first Formula 1 podium at the Japanese Grand Prix and established himself as a driver who remains calm and analytical on the track.
