Kayla DiCello Biography

Kayla DiCello is an American gymnast who competed for the U.S. women’s national team and the University of Florida Gators. A native of Boyds, Maryland, she began her gymnastics career at two and became a junior elite in 2017. 

A U.S. women’s national team member since 2018, she won the 2021 World all-around bronze, the 2023 Pan American Games all-around gold, and the 2019 Junior World vault title. She was an alternate for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the gold-medal-winning 2023 World Championships team. 

DiCello achieved collegiate bests at Florida, including a perfect 10.0 on uneven bars, and contributed to the Gators’ 2023 NCAA runner-up finish. In 2024, she took a gap year to prepare for the Paris Olympics, but a ruptured Achilles tendon sidelined her during the U.S. Olympic Trials. She’s aiming to come back for the 2025 cycle.
