Justin Turner Biography

Justin Turner is a two-time All-Star who will be remembered for contributing to one of the best eras of Los Angeles Dodgers baseball. Turner played for the Dodgers from 2014-22, earning both All-Star nods in blue and winning the World Series in 2020. 

During his first season in Los Angeles, Turner hit .340 in 109 games. In, the 2015 National League Division Series, he started to craft a memorable postseason leagy, hitting an LDS record six doubles. Turner stepped it up another notch in 2016, hitting 27 home runs and 90 RBI. He helped the Dodgers reach the playoffs again and finished ninth in National League MVP voting. 

In 2017, Turner made his first All-Star team and was named co-MVP of the NLDS. Los Angeles reached the World Series and he set a new franchise records for postseason RBI. 

Turner is a California native who made the College World Series in back-to-back years with Cal State Fullerton and won a title in 2004. The Cincinnati Reds selected him in the sixth round of the 2006 MLB Draft. After being traded to the Baltimore Orioles, he made his major league debut in 2009. Turner spent two seasons with the Orioles and then joined the New York Mets in 2010.
