John Druce Biography

Jon Druce played 11 NHL seasons and is best remembered for his playoff heroics in 1990 for the Washington Capitals.  He had 14 goals while leading the Capitals to their first Eastern Conference Finals appearance.  Druce notched nine goals alone in the Division Finals against the New York Rangers, which at the time was good for the third-most in one playoff series.  That level of success would never come in the regular season, but he still had a productive career, playing in 531 games and scoring 239 points.  Druce also played for the Winnipeg Jets, Los Angeles Kings, and Philadelphia Flyers.  In his final NHL season, the Flyers made the Stanley Cup Final.  Since retirement, Druce has been a junior hockey analyst for Rogers Sportsnet and currently works for Freedom 55 Financial.  He is active in raising money for pediatric cancer research after his daughter battled leukemia.  Druce raises money through Pedal For Hope and his rock band Mudfilter.
