Jaedyn Shaw Biography

Jaedyn Shaw is a professional American soccer player for the North Carolina Courage in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and a member of the United States Women's National Team (USWNT). Shaw's mother is Vietnamese, and her father is black, making her the first Vietnamese American to play for the USWNT.

Her debut on the national stage occurred in 2023 for matches against South Africa. Shaw became the first player in USWMNT history to score in each of her five starts.

She began her professional career in 2022 at age 17 with San Diego Wave FC, where she made history as the second-youngest player to appear in an NWSL match and one of only two players to score in their first three games. She is a 2024 Paris Olympics gold medalist and earned Golden Ball honors at the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup as the tournament's best player.
