Hunter Woodhall Biography

The American Paralympic sprinter Hunter Woodhall serves as an entrepreneur and motivational speaker who gained fame through his track and field accomplishments. Hunter Woodhall was born on February 17, 1999, in Cartersville Georgia before moving to Syracuse Utah where he spent his childhood. The medical condition fibular hemimelia resulted in the doctors removing his legs below the knee when he was 11 months old. The young athlete found his love for sports through soccer and baseball and wrestling before discovering his passion for running. His middle school running career started when he became competitive which led him to pursue track and field as his main sport.

Woodhall became the first double amputee to receive an NCAA Division I athletic scholarship when he joined the University of Arkansas athletic team. Through his athletic career he achieved four All-American titles while breaking American records in both the 100m and 400m T62 events. Woodhall started his Paralympic competition at the 2016 Rio Games by winning silver and bronze medals in the 200m and 400m T44 events. The Tokyo 2020 Paralympics brought him a bronze medal in the 400m T62 event. Woodhall won his first gold medal in the 400m T62 at the 2024 Paris Paralympics while also earning a bronze medal in the mixed 4x100m relay.

Woodhall dedicates his time to entrepreneurship while also building his social media presence. Through his business partnerships with Lululemon Celsius and DoorDash he operates his own clothing company. Through their YouTube show "Tara and Hunter" the couple reveals their athlete and relationship experiences to their audience.
