Henrik Stenson Biography

Henrik Stenson is a professional golfer who currently plays on both the PGA Tour and the European Tour. Originally from Sweden, Stenson turned professional in 1999 after a successful amateur career in which he played for the Swedish Boys team in 1994. After turning professional in the Challenge Tour where he was a top competitor, Stenson joined the European Tour in 2001, where he won nine events and was good enough to be ranked in the top 10 of the Official Golf Rankings at one point. In 2007, Stenson joined the PGA Tour, winning four events in just eight years on the tour. His best finish at a major championship is second at the 2013 Open Championship, and Stenson is currently one of the top golfers in the world.
