Garrett Crochet Biography

Garrett Crochet is a left-handed starting pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, acquired from the Chicago White Sox in December 2024. A first-round pick in the 2020 MLB Draft out of the University of Tennessee, Crochet made his MLB debut the same year, becoming the first player in six years to reach the majors in his draft year. Crochet underwent Tommy John Surgery in 2022, but returned by winning the American League Comeback Player of the Year in 2024. With that, he also earned his first career All-Star selection that same year. In April 2025, the Red Sox made a long-term commitment to Crochet by signing him to a six-year, $170 million contract extension. This extension makes him a key puzzle piece of their pitching rotation.
