Fulton Allem Biography

Fulton Allem is a professional golfer who currently competes on the Champions Tour but has formerly competed on the PGA Tour. Originally from South Africa, Allem started playing golf at just seven years old, eventually becoming good enough to turn professional in 1976. For the first part of his professional career, Allem played mainly on the South African Sunshine Tour, winning 11 events over his career in that tour. In 1987, Allem’s father convinced him to join the PGA Tour, and he did so, earning his first PGA Tour victory in 1991 at the Independent Insurance Agent Open. His best year came in 1993, winning two PGA Tour events and finishing ninth on the money list. Unfortunately, Allem has been plagued with multiple injuries and health ailments that have deterred his career, but he still competes to this day on the Champions Tour in the United States.
