Darko Rajaković Biography

Darko Rajaković is a Serbian professional basketball coach, currently head coach of the NBA's Toronto Raptors. Hailing from Čačak, Serbia, he started his coaching career at 16 with a local youth team, leading them to two Serbian championships. Rajaković holds a basketball coaching degree from the Belgrade Basketball Academy and a sports management degree from Alfa BK University.

He is revered for his high basketball IQ, focus on player development, and emphasis on collaborative offense, shying away from isolation sets. His coaching career spans multiple continents, including a stint as head coach of the Tulsa 66ers of the NBA G-League, where he achieved a 51–49 record and a 2013 semifinals appearance, becoming the first non-North American-born G League head coach. 

He served as an assistant coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder (2014–2019), Phoenix Suns (2019–2020), and Memphis Grizzlies (2020–2023), contributing to several playoff appearances. He was also a scouting consultant and summer league assistant for the San Antonio Spurs and coached in Spain's EBA League.
