Damon Hill Biography

Damon Hill is a retired British Formula One driver. The son of legendary driver Graham Hill, Damon carved his own legacy by winning the 1996 Formula One World Championship with Williams. He began racing motorcycles before transitioning to cars, entering Formula One in 1992 with Brabham. Hill joined Williams in 1993, securing his first Grand Prix win that year in Hungary. Known for his calm demeanor and technical skill, he claimed 22 career victories, including iconic wins at Silverstone and Spa. His 1996 title came after intense battles with teammate Jacques Villeneuve and rival Michael Schumacher. After Williams, Hill raced for Arrows and Jordan, retiring in 1999. Post-racing, he became a pundit, notably for Sky Sports F1, and remains a respected figure in motorsport, also engaging in charity work and writing.
