Bastian Schweinsteiger is a midfielder for the Chicago Fire in MLS. Schweinsteiger built up a resume as one of the world's best players during 17 years at Bayern Munich. He played in 500 matches and won eight Bundesliga titles, seven DFB-Pokal titles and a UEFA Champions League title with the club. Schweinsteiger is also the fourth most-capped player in German history, playing a leading role in the team's 2014 World Cup win. Prior to joining Chicago, he was with Manchester United for 18 months. Schweinsteiger has continued to have success with the Fire, being selected as an MLS All-Star in 2017 and 2019. He was inducted into the FC Bayern Munich Hall of Fame and received the Bavarian Order of Merit in 2018.
