Arik Armstead Biography

Arik Armstead is a tremendous NFL veteran on and off the field. Armstead spent the first nine seasons of his career as a key component of the San Francisco 49ers defense. He had his breakout campaign in 2019, collecting ten sacks while the Niners reached Super Bowl LIV.

Armstead also recorded a sack for the team in Super Bowl LVIII. The following season, he joined the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency. Following that first campaign with the Jags, Armstead was named Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year for his work with the Armstead Academic Project. 

Armstead was originally selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Oregon.
