Alexander Volkanovski is a professional mixed martial artist competing in the UFC's featherweight division. Nicknamed "The Great" due to his Macedonian-Greek heritage, he is the current two-time UFC Featherweight Champion. Initially a Greco-Roman wrestler and rugby league player, Volkanovski transitioned to MMA, debuting in the UFC in 2016. He won the featherweight title in 2019 against Max Holloway and has defended it multiple times, with a record of 27-4-0 as of 2025. Ranked #6 in UFC's pound-for-pound rankings, he trains at Freestyle Fighting Gym and is a prominent fixture in the sport.
