Wrestling Great Cael Sanderson Speaks at Blair County Sports Hall of Fame Induction This Spring

Even after his iconic career on the mat, Cael Sanderson has continued to make a significant impact in the sport of wrestling. The Blair County Sports Hall of Fame is excited to have such a high-profile guest speak at their spring induction ceremony.

The event will take place on April 7th at the Blair County Convention Center. There are several Penn State fans residing in Blair County, the place where Sanderson currently coaches. 

Tickets are available for $75 before December 31st and go up $10 afterward. Sanderson joins a long list of accomplished sports greats like Bobby Bowden, Terry Bradshaw and Ben Roethlisberger to speak at the enshrinement. 

Sanderson has coached Penn State to six national championships in the last seven years. He has coached 19 All-Americans and eight individual NCAA champions. 

Sanderson is best known for his competitive career. He won four state titles while in high school and then won four NCAA titles while racking up a perfect 159-0 record at Iowa State. 

in 2004, Sanderson won an Olympic gold medal. He began his coaching career at his alma mater and led the Cyclones to three Big 12 Championships.
