Wide Receiver Danny Amendola Addresses Patriots Future During Bryant University Speaking Engagement

New England Patriots players are sought-after for speaking engagements across the Northeast. Wide receiver Danny Amendola was the latest to get the call and he tackled a number of topics last week at Bryant University. 

The topic on the minds of many in the audience on Tuesday was what the future might look like for the free-agent-to-be. Amendola expressed his desire to remain a Patriot, while also acknowledging the business side of any transaction. 

At the heart of his message, he shared with students what it takes to play and win at a championship level. His visit to the Chase Athletic and Wellness Center and was organized by Bryant's Student Programming Board. 

Amendola has been a member of two Super Bowl champion teams in New England. His play was particularly important this postseason and he was named MVP of the AFC Championship game after catching seven passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns. 

Amendola has spent the past five seasons with the Patriots after originally having success with the St. Louis Rams. Early in his career, he was known as one of the top kickoff specialists in football. 

Amendola was an All-Big 12 performer at Texas Tech University. Despite his stellar college career, he went undrafted and spent time on the practice squads of the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles before finding a home in St. Louis.
