UConn Football Coach Bob Diaco Speaks at Middlesex Chamber Member Breakfast

Head coach Bob Diaco is getting the local community excited for UConn football in 2016.  Last Thursday, he served as the guest speaker at Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Meeting.

The breakfast was held at the Radisson Hotel in Cromwell, Connecticut.  It was sponsored by People's United Bank.

Diaco spoke at great length about the Huskies team that returns for this season.  As always, his infectous enthusiasm was on full display.

Diaco is entering his third season at UConn.  After a 2-10 first season, he was able to lead the Huskies to a 6-7 record with a St. Petersburg Bowl appearance in 2015.

Prior to arriving at UConn, Diaco was the defensive coordinator at Notre Dame for four seasons.  In 2012, he won the Broyles Award as the top assistant coach in the country.

Diaco's coaching career began at his alma mater as a graduate assistant at Iowa in 1996.  He played linebacker for the Hawkeyes and was team co-MVP in 1995.
