Two-Time Stanley Cup Champion Chris Dingman Keynotes Brandon Wheat Kings Sportsman’s Dinner Thursday

Two-time Stanley Cup champion Chris Dingman is going back to where it all started tomorrow. He is serving as keynote speaker for the Brandon Wheat Kings Sportsman's Dinner.

It is taking place inside of the Kingston Centre at the UCT Pavillion. In addition to Dingman, former Chicago Blackhawk Dennis Hull, comedian Dean Jenkinson and broadcaster Daren Millard will be other special guests.

This is the 52nd Sportsman's Dinner. Individual tickets to attend are $125 and proceeds benefit the WHL Scholarship Foundation.

Dingman spent four years honing his skills in junior hockey with the Wheat Kings. He helped them win a WHL title in 1996 and was a first round pick of the Calgary Flames in the 1994 NHL Draft.

Dingman debuted with the Flames during the 1997-98 season and quickly established himself as one of the league's top enforcers. He totaled 120 fights and 769 career penalty minutes.

After his time in Calgary, Dingman would go on to win Stanley Cups with the Colorado Avalanche in 2001 and the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004. He has settled in the Tampa Bay area in retirement and done various coaching and broadcasting work.
