Three-Time PGA Tour Champion Chris DiMarco Speaks at McNeese State Fundraiser

In his heyday, Chris DiMarco was one of the most popular players on the PGA Tour. He will certainly make a great impression with attendees as the guest speaker at an upcoming fundraiser at McNeese State.

The event takes place on March 24th at the Lake Charles Country Club. The fundraiser serves as a kickoff for a series of golf activities hosted by the Cowboys program.

The Lake Charles Invitational at the Golf Club of Golden Nugget features 15 different college golf teams. There will be a pro-am followed by 54 holes of golf spread over two days.

DiMarco has won seven times as a professional and three times on the PGA Tour. He triumphed at the 2000 SEI Pennsylvania Classic, the 2001 Buick Challenge and the 2002 Phoenix Open.

DiMarco has finished as a runner-up in three of the four major tournaments. He has spent 61 weeks in the top ten of the Official World Golf Ranking, reaching a career-high of sixth in the world in 2005.

Before joining the PGA Tour, DiMarco won the Canadian Tour Order of Merit in 1992. He is currently gearing up to compete on the Champions Tour and regularly contributes to Morning Drive on the Golf Channel.
