Texas Tech Football Coach Kliff Kingsbury Keynotes Lubbock Chamber of Commerce Event

The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce is ringing in the football season next Wednesday at Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. They are hosting their Texas Tech Football Breakfast with keynote speaker Kliff Kingsbury

Kingsbury will preview his Red Raiders team with those in attendance at 7 a.m. There will be several other Texas Tech officials in attendance who will also speak at the event. 

High school football coaches region will be introduced as well. Individual tickets are $45, but Chamber members get a $10 discount. 

Kingsbury has been the head coach at his alma mater for four seasons. He previously was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Texas A&M in 2012 and helped Johnny Manziel win the Heisman Trophy. 

Kingsbury began his career as a quality control coach at the University of Houston before being promoted to co-offensive coordinator in 2010. He also had a five-year professional playing career after starring for the Red Raiders. 

Kingsbury won the Sammy Baugh Trophy in 2002. When he left Texas Tech, he held 39 school records, 13 Big 12 Conference records and seven NCAA FBS records.
