Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk Speaks at Women of the UFC Panel

In the ever-changing landscape of UFC champions, strawweight competitor Joanna Jerzejczyk has been one of the recent constants. As arguably the top woman in the sport today, she lent great credibility to the recent "Women of the UFC" panel.

The event was held in Las Vegas at the Park Theater on July 5th. Jerzejczyk was able to address an array of topics, including some upcoming plans for her career.

She is most interested in being on the fight card when the UFC returns to New York's Madison Square Garden in November. Last year, she won a fight over Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 205.

After running her professional record to 8-0, Jerzejczyk won the UFC Women's Strawweight Champion. She is one victory shy of tying Ronda Rousey's record of six title defenses by a female.

Jerzejczyk is the fifth European champion in the history of the UFC. She is currently ranked the top pound-for-pound women's MMA fighter in the world and stands seventh on the UFC's pound-for-pound mixed gender list.

In 2015, Jerzejczyk was named Yahoo! Sports Best Fighter of the Half-Year and the MMAJunkie.com Female Fighter of the Year. She has won Performance of the Night once and Fight of the Night twice.
