St. Louis Cardinals Legends Lou Brock and Keith Hernandez Scheduled for Speaker Series

When you think of St. Louis Cardinals, legends, Lou Brock and Keith Hernandez are two names that come to mind. While many would associate them with different eras, the pair actually suited up together for six years and they will be reunited in April for a special event.

The Cardinals are welcoming Brock and Hernandez to Busch Stadium as part of their Speaker Series on Thursday, April 18 at 6 p.m. The duo will participate in a moderated conversation with team broadcaster Dan McLaughlin.

Brock and Hernandez will talk about their friendship and their careers. Tickets are currently available for $195 and the price of admission also includes a baseball signed by both retired stars.

Brock is one of the fastest men in baseball history and his 938 stolen bases rank second all-time. The six-time All-Star is one of just 32 players to have collected over 3,000 hits.

Brock won World Series titles with St. Louis in 1964 and 1967 and is the franchise's all-time leader in hits in the Fall Classic. He is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Hernandez also won two World Series crowns as a player, including one with the Redbirds in 1982. He spent the first decade of his career in St. Louis and established a reputation as one of the finest defensive first basemen of all-time.

Overall, Hernandez won 11 Gold Gloves for his prowess in the field. He was a five-time All-Star and the winner of the 1979 National League MVP.
