Robert Horry is one of the great winners in sports history. He can impart his mentality for success upon attendees at next month's All-Valley Sports Awards Banquet. 

The event takes place on June 10th at Mario's Banquet & Conference Center in Mission, Texas. There will be student-athletes from across the Rio Grande Valley area recognized. 

The catered banquet runs from 6-8 p.m. and a ticket costs $40. It is hosted by RGVSports.com and AIM Media Texas. 

Horry played 16 NBA seasons and won seven NBA championships. He was known for some memorable shots in crucial playoff moments, earning the nickname, "Big Shot Bob." 

The Houston Rockets originally made him the 11th overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft. He went on to be a key part of winning cultures with the Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs. 

Horry holds an NBA Finals record with 53 three-pointers made. He currently works as an analyst for Spectrum SportsNet Los Angeles.
