Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton Talks Winning Culture at Breakfast Forum

Olympic champion Scott Hamilton has inspired thousands in his post-athletic career as a motivational speaker. He was most recently sharing his insights for a winning culture as the keynote speaker at the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber Business Forum.

The event was held on Tuesday morning at Crystal Gardens in Southgate, Michigan. The monthly series is geared towards fostering education and communication between the business and political communities in the area.

Local business leaders and members of the public were empowered by hearing Hamilton's story. He used his personal testimony as a way to tie into his message about business culture.

Hamilton won four straight U.S. and World Championships from 1981-84. That set the stage for his performance at the 1984 Olympics, where he won the gold medal.

Hamilton is even more lauded in the skating community for creating the "Stars on Ice" exhibition tour. He performed with the tour alongside other standouts from the sport for 15 years, often turning his signature backflip move.

Hamilton has also kept close ties to the sport as a popular television commentator. He is a member of the United States Olympic Hall of Fame.
