Pro Bowl Punter Pat McAfee Keynotes Indiana Sports Awards in April

Despite being a punter, Pat McAfee is still one of the most popular players for the Indianapolis Colts. He will surely be well received when he speaks at the Indiana Sports Awards on April 27th.

The event takes place at Clowes Memorial Hall in Indianapolis. There will be athletes from around the state honored in 38 different categories by the Indianapolis Star.

Doors officially open at 7 p.m. and the banquet kicks off at 8 p.m. Nominated athletes and one parent can attend for free, but individual tickets are available for $33.

McAfee was originally selected by the Colts in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. That season he was named to the Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie Team.

Since, McAfee has been a two-time Pro Bowl selection and he was a first-team All-Pro in 2014. This past season, he led the NFL in punting average for the first time.

McAfee is active helping military families through The Pat McAfee Foundation. He is also an active stand-up comedian.
