Phoenix Suns Star Devin Booker Keynotes Jared Dudley Elite Skills Academy

Some of the top basketball players in San Diego County got a treat with the three-day Jared Dudley Elite Skills Academy. The experience was even enhanced by the appearance of Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker as keynote speaker.

Over 100 of the top youth players in the San Diego area attended the camp. This is the fifth year that the event has been held at Alliant International University.

Booker talked about how he became one of the top high school basketball players in the country. Dudley shared his thoughts throughout the camp and Suns guard Tyler Ulis, as well as current free agent Gordon Heyward, also made appearances.

Booker had a memorable second season in the NBA. This past season, he averaged 22.1 points, 3.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.

In March, Booker scored a career-high 70 points and became the youngest person in league history to post at least 60 points in a single game. His standout sophomore campaign came on the heels of a first season where he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

Booker played one season of college basketball at the University of Kentucky. He was named the SEC Sixth Man of the Year, a second-team All-SEC selection and a member of the All-SEC Freshman Team.
