Phoenix Suns Guard Tyler Ulis Speaks at Southwest Elite Basketball Camp Next Week

The Southwest Elite Basketball Camp is bringing a top young NBA player in to speak. Phoenix Suns point guard Tyler Ulis is the featured speaker at the first annual camp.

The camp takes place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday at Burges High School in El Paso, Texas. It is designed to increase players' basketball skills and basketball I.Q.

Registration is $125. In addition to expert basketball instruction, campers will also receive a t-shirt and autograph session with Ulis. 

Ulis just completed his first season with the Suns, where he averaged 7.3 points and 3.7 assists per game. Phoenix selected him out of the University of Kentucky in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft. 

Ulis played two seasons with the Wildcats and he broke out to become the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore. He was also named a consensus first-team All-American and the SEC Defensive Player of the Year. 

Ulis was a consensus five-star recruit coming out of Marian Catholic in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He was selected to the McDonald's All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic.
