Philadelphia Phillies Legend Mike Schmidt Named Keynote Speaker for Holiday Benefit Luncheon

The Law Foundation of Berks County and the PICPA Reading Chapter are making plans for their annual Holiday Benefit Luncheon. Baseball legend Mike Schmidt will serve as keynote speaker.

The event takes place on December 1st at the Crowne Plaza Reading. In 2008, Schmidt spoke at the inaugural luncheon.

Other baseball greats like Pete Rose, Steve Carlton and Joe Morgan have spoken over the years. Ticket information will be released at a later date.

Schmidt spent all 18 seasons of his big league career with the Philadephia Phillies. He led the National League in home runs eight times and RBI four times.

Schmidt was a three-time NL MVP and 12-time All-Star. He finished his career with 548 homers, but was also a top defensive player who won ten Gold Gloves at third base.
