Olympic Gold Medalist Curt Tomasevicz Speaks at National Day of Prayer Event

Olympic gold medalist Curt Tomasevicz was in Columbus, Ohio this week on Thursday for special National Day of Prayer events. He started off the appearances with morning prayer breakfast for the Columbus Family YMCA. 

Later on, Tomasevicz was a speaker at the Prayer in the Square at Frankfort Square. At each event, he stressed the role faith played in his life and athletic career. 

Tomasevicz also discussed facing fears with faith. He shared many moments in his life where he used the guidance of God to face huge changes. 

After playing football at the University of Nebraska from 2000-02, Tomasevicz became a bobsledder. He competed in the four-man bobsled for Team USA in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 Olympics. 

Tomasevicz won a gold medal in 2010 and a bronze in 2014. He also has nine World Championship medals, including three golds. 

Tomasevicz currently serves as an engineering instructor at his alma mater. He is working on his doctorate and plans to graduate within the next year.
