NFL Wide Receiver Louis Murphy Keynotes Seminar at St. Petersburg College Saturday

St. Petersburg, Florida native Louis Murphy gets a chance to speak at a local school this weekend. On Saturday, the NFL wide receiver will be a St. Petersburg College to keynote their fifth annual "Keys to Manhood - A Seminar for Men." 

The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SPC Allstate Centre. There will be a wide range of activities geared towards getting male students to live up to their academic potential. 

All of the seminar's sessions are free and open to the public although registration closed on February 3rd. Lunch will also be provided. 

Murphy has spent the last three seasons of his career with the hometown Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is currently a free agent as he rehabs from multiple injuries and is looking forward to getting back on the field in 2017. 

Prior to joining the Bucs, Murphy spent a season each with the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants. The Oakland Raiders originally selected him in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. 

Murphy had his best success in Oakland, tallying over 500 yards receiving in each of his first two seasons. He played college football at the University of Florida, where he was a two-time Southeastern Conference champion and BCS national champion.
