NFL Wide Receiver Justin Hunter Makes Appearance at Scholarship Dinner in Virginia Beach

Even though he has been in different cities as an NFL wide receiver, Justin Hunter continues to make an impact on the Virginia Beach area he comes from.  Last Saturday, he was honored for his efforts at the 200 Plus Image Awards and Scholarship Dinner.

The event was put on by the Seatack Community Civic League and it was held at the Dr. E Ray Fox Sr. Convocation Center.  Hunter was recognized as "Mr. Seatack 2016."

He has been a big contributor to the organization's scholarship program.  The evening had a football theme, with Pro Football Hall of Famer Bruce Smith also in attendance as a closing speaker.

Hunter currently plays for the Buffalo Bills.  He was signed by the team to replace the injured Sammy Watkins and has responded with two touchdown catches in four games.

Hunter spent the first three seasons of his career with the Tennessee Titans.  Overall in his Titans career, he caught 68 passes for 1,116 yards and eight touchdowns.

Tennessee originally selected Hunter in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.  He played college football at the University of Tennessee and was a second-team All-Southeastern Conference selection in 2012.
