Nebraska Football Coach Mike Riley Makes Appearances Throughout the State

This week has been a busy one for Nebraska football coach Mike Riley.  Today, he finishes a tour of the state, visiting six different cities in a four-day period.

Riley is in Omaha with athletic director Shawn Eichorst at a breakfast for the Omaha Chamber of Commerce.  The duo has also made appearances at events in Lincoln, York, Columbus, Kearney and North Platte.

In addition to mingling with Husker fans at various events, there has also been some business accomplished on their trip.  They met with several radio affiliates along the way.

Riley went 6-7 in his first season leading the Nebraska program.  The team was able to finish the 2015 season on a high note, defeating UCLA in the Foster Farms Bowl.

Prior to arriving in Lincoln, Riley built great credibility in the coaching profession with 14 successful years at Oregon State.  The Beavers most notably went 7-2 in bowl games during his tenure and finished the season ranked in the top 25 on four occasions.

Riley also had stints as a head coach in the NFL and CFL.  He led the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to two CFL Grey Cups in four seasons at the helm.
