NBC Sports Personality Dan Hicks Speaks at Ronald McDonald House Golf Tournament Next Month

Through his long association with NBC Sports, Dan Hicks is a familiar face to many sports fans. He is particularly prominent in the world of golf. 

On September 18th, HIcks is speaking at The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware's Golf Tournament. The 29th annual event takes place at the Wilmington Country Club. 

In addition to playing golf and hearing HIcks speak, the day includes a barbecue lunch, cocktail reception, dinner, live auction and silent auction. Attendees also have the opportunity to win $6,250 from a helicopter ball drop. 

Hicks originally joined NBC in 1992. He is their lead anchor for PGA Tour coverage and is also a prominent figure in the network's telecasts of the Olympics. 

On the golf side, Hicks has worked events like The Players, Fed Ex Cup Playoffs, U.S. Open and Ryder Cup. He has been involved in the coverage of ten Olympics and is currently the lead play-by-play voice for swimming during the Summer Games. 

Hicks has been the play-by-play broadcaster for NBC's coverage of Notre Dame football since 1994. He got his start in broadcasting in his hometown of Tuscon, Arizona and worked at CNN before coming to NBC.
