Los Angeles Rams Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips Makes Appearances on Book Tour

Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips has been traveling the country promoting his new book, "Son of Bum: Lessons My Dad Taught Me About Football and Life." Many of the visits were to cities that had some significance to the Phillips' coaching lives. 

Phillips started the signings in Denver on Thursday, where he most recently served as defensive coordinator. That night, he held an event in Dallas, where he once was the Cowboys head coach. 

On Friday, Phillips made an appearance in the smaller Texas towns of Port Arthur and Beaumont. He wrapped the weekend with a Saturday stop in Houston, where his father coached the Oilers for six seasons. 

Phillips has been one of the NFL's top defensive minds for over three decades. He was hired this offseason by the Rams after spending two seasons as the Broncos defensive coordinator. 

Overall, Phillips has been the defensive coordinator for eight different franchises. He was part of the Denver team that won Super Bowl 50 and was named NFL Assistant Coach of the Year that season. 

Phillips has been an NFL head coach on four occasions and boasts an 82-64 career record. He led teams to the postseason five times.
