Los Angeles Chargers Head Coach Anthony Lynn Speaks at FCA Event in Texas

Fresh off his first season as an NFL head coach, Anthony Lynn made a return visit to the town where he was a college star on the field. Lynn was in Lubbock, Texas yesterday speaking at the Greater South Plains Fellowship of Christian Athletes victory celebration.

The eighth annual celebration took place at the Memorial Civic Center banquet hall at 6:30 p.m. They had a virtual sellout, with just a select number of $150 tickets available at the door.

Lynn discussed adjustments he had to make in his first year as a head coach. He also talked about the number of Texas Tech football alumni he keeps in touch with.

Lynn was an All-Southwest Conference performer for the Red Raiders but went undrafted in 1992. He went on to have a six-year NFL playing career and won two Super Bowls with the Denver Broncos.

Lynn began his coaching career as a special teams assistant with the Broncos. He later coached running backs for several teams and piloted a top-ranked rushing attack with the New York Jets.

Lynn served as an interim head coach with the Buffalo Bills. He was then hired by the Chargers and led them to a 9-7 record in his first year on the job.
