Los Angeles Angels Manager Mike Scioscia Keynotes Santa Barbara Foresters Banquet February 4th

Los Angeles Angels manager Mike Scioscia is a baseball legend in southern California. He is serving as the keynote speaker at the Santa Barbara Foresters Hall of Fame Banquet. 

The event is being held on February 4th at the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion. Tickets, which include wine and dinner, are $100 for adults and $20 for kids 14 and under. 

There will also be a sports gear and memorabilia exhibit along with a silent auction at the banquet. The day before, there will be a golf tournament as well. 

Scioscia originally joined the Angels as manager for the 2000 season. He is the longest-tenured skipper in baseball and the second longest-tenured head coach in major American professional sports. 

In 2002, Scioscia led the Angels to a World Series championship and won the first of two American League Manager of the Year awards. He has won six AL West Division titles with the club. 

Before landing with the Angels, Scioscia spent several years as a coach in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. He had a 12-year big league playing career with the Dodgers and was a two-time All-Star.
