The International Roofing Expo has lined up a big name speaker for their event next year. They are hosting NBA legend Julius Erving at 2018 IRE. 

The expo takes place beginning February 6th at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Erving will open the event at 9:45 a.m. with his "What I Learned" presentation. 

He will talk about his strategy for overcoming challenges and how to build a champion's mindset. Early bird registration is available until January 8th. 

Erving legitimized the American Basketball Association during the 1970s. He was a two-time ABA champion, three-time ABA MVP and five-time ABA All-Star. 

Erving continued to be a star when he came to the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1976. He made 11 straight All-Star Games and was the league's MVP in 1981. 

Erving also won an NBA championship with the 76ers in 1983. His jersey is retired by Philadelphia and the Brooklyn Nets and he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1983.
