Indy Racing Legend Bobby Unser Presents at Indiana State University Speaker Series

The state of Indiana is auto racing crazy. That made Indy racing legend Bobby Unser the perfect choice as the latest guest for the Indiana State University Speaker Series.

The event was held last Wednesday at ISU's Tilson Auditorium. Unser was able to tell several interesting stories from his iconic 38-year career.

Unser also spoke specifically about some of his successes and failures in Terre Haute. Top business consultant Doug Lipp will be the next speaker in the series on January 31st.

Unser was a three-time Indianapolis 500 winner and one of just two drivers to win the race in three different decades. He recorded 35 career wins in Indy racing.

Unser was the champion of Championship Car in 1968 and 1974. He also won the 1975 International Race of Champions.

In 1982, Unser retired from competitive racing and became a successful broadcaster. He is a member of the International Motorsports Hall of Fame, the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.
