Hall of Fame Quarterback Warren Moon Speaks at CES This Week

This Thursday, CES takes over Las Vegas as one of the top consumer electronics tradeshows in the world. While one would think much of the time is devoted strictly to advancements in technology, there is always a great presence from the sports world as well.

One football icon scheduled to speak is Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon. He is making a presentation at the Sports Tech Conference which is presented by the Sports & Fitness Industry Association.

On Friday, Moon will be part of a panel from 2:15-3:15 p.m. at the Venetian that explores how big data has infiltrated sports. Interested attendees can still purchase a sports track pass for $400 or a delux conference pass for $1,700.

Moon has a unique career that combined experience with the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League and four different NFL franchises. When you combine his numbers between the two leagues, he threw for over 70,000 yards and 435 touchdowns.

Moon spent his first six pro seasons in the CFL, won five Grey Cups and was the league MVP in 1983. He would go on to make nine NFL Pro Bowls.

In 1990, Moon was named NFL MVP and the league's Offensive Player of the Year with the Houston Oilers. He led the league in passing yards and touchdowns on the way to also being named a first-team All-Pro.
