Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver Randall Cobb Keynotes Sharp Literacy Event Next Month

SHARP Literacy has been a nonprofit vital to inspiring student achievement in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area since 1996. One of their biggest events of the year is the A Novel Event fundraiser.

This year, the keynote speaker is Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb. The event takes place on October 16th at 4 p.m. at The Pfister Hotel.

Over 600 of Milwaukee's top business leaders, civic leaders and SHARP Literacy supporters will be in attendance. Individual tickets are $150 and tables of ten are $1,500.

Cobb has been one of the Packers' top options in the passing game for seven seasons. He starred at the University of Kentucky, where he was a two-time first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection.

Green Bay originally selected in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. In Cobb's second season, he set a franchise single-season record with 2,342 combined yards.

He had 954 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns, but was named a Pro Bowler as a kick returner. Cobb had his best receiving season in 2014, when he had 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns.
