Former San Francisco Giants Star Rich Aurilia Speaks at March’s Chico American Legion Baseball Event

Chico American Legion Baseball is bringing in a San Francisco Giants great to speak at their Spring Fever event. The 20th annual dinner will feature former big league shortstop Rich Aurilia

It takes place on March 3rd at 5 p.m. Manzanita Place inside the Elks Lodge. Tickets cost $50 for adults, $35 for kids and table sponsorships are $200. 

There is an autograph session with Aurilia from 5:45-6:45 p.m., several prizes and auction items to bid on in addition to Aurilia's presentation. He will also hold a special meet and greet fundraiser luncheon earlier in the day at La Hacienda for $100 a ticket. 

Aurilia spent 12 of his 15 major league seasons in two separate stints with the Giants. He began his career with the franchise in 1995 and had a banner campaign in 2001. 

That year, Aurilia led the National League with 206 hits, slugged a career-best 37 home runs and hit .324. He was selected to his first and only All-Star game and also won a Silver Slugger Award. 

The following season, Aurilia helped San Francisco reach the World Series. He currently works as a television analyst on the team's games for Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.
