Former NFL Tight End Kyle Brady Speaks at Medard’s House Breakfast

Former NFL tight end Kyle Brady is still a favorite for many Penn State fans. On Saturday, he was in the suburbs of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania speaking at a fundraiser for Medard’s House.

Medard’s House is a non-profit that helps local kids reach their full potential. Brady keynoted the breakfast and connected with the audience on his own story of struggle.

He talked about growing up in a single-parent household and getting in trouble at school. Later in the day, Brady made his way to Penn State to serve as honorary captain for the Nittany Lions clash with Michigan.

Brady was a two-time All-Big Ten selection and a consensus All-American as a senior. That season, he led Penn State to their first Rose Bowl victory.

The New York Jets took notice and selected Brady with the ninth overall pick in the 1995 NFL Draft. He spent the first four seasons of his pro career with the Jets before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1999.

Brady broke out in 2000, catching 64 passes for 729 yards. He spent eight seasons with the Jaguars before finishing his career with the New England Patriots in 2007.
