Former NFL Offensive Lineman Tony Mandarich Keynotes University of Saskatoon Football Fundraiser

Tony Mandarich was one of the most highly-regarded prospects in NFL Draft history. He can certainly share some perspective from his up and down football career as the speaker at a special event for the University of Saskatchewan football program.

Mandarich is the honored guest for the Huskies Football Foundation Dogs' Breakfast. The event takes place on May 3rd at Prarieland Park.

Individual tickets are $125 and funds raised from the breakfast go towards funding football scholarships. The title sponsors are Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites and Staybridge Suites.

Mandarich was a consensus All-American and the Big Ten lineman of the year at Michigan State in 1988. The Green Bay Packers selected him with the second overall pick in the 1989 NFL Draft.

Mandarich was the only player selected in the top five of that year's draft to not make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He played six seasons in the NFL, splitting time between the Packers and the Indianapolis Colts.

Mandarich currently lives in Arizona and is a digital artist for commercial clients. He is the author of the book, "My Dirty Little Secrets - Steroids, Alcohol & God."
