Former New England Patriots Running Back Kevin Faulk Selected to the Team’s Hall of Fame

Running back Kevin Faulk is the kind of player that team hall of fames were conceptualized for.  While he may not have the gaudy numbers that merit him inclusion in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, there is no question that his contributions needed to be honored in some way.

Faulk is the latest elected member of the New England Patriots Hall of Fame.  He was selected by fan vote and will be inducted on August 1st at NRG Plaza.

The ceremony is open to the public.  Faulk will also be recognized during the Patriots' season at their home operner against the Miami Dolphins on September 18th.

Faulk is the career franchise leader with 12,349 all-purpose yards and also holds the all-time record for return yards.  He helped New England win three Super Bowls.

In addition, Faulk is one of just six players in the 2000's to accumulate over 3,000 rushing yards and receiving yards.  The Patriots originally drafted him in the second round of the 1999 NFL Draft out of LSU.

Faulk is still the Tigers' all-time leader in rushing yards and all-purpose yards.  Today, he does a variety of radio and TV work in the Boston area covering the Patriots.
