Colorful former relief pitcher Al Hrabosky is coming to speak at Arkansas State University. He is taking part in the baseball program's 2017 Grand Slam Banquet. 

The event is scheduled for February 14th at the A-State Convention Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. and proceeds raised go directly back to the Red Wolves baseball team. 

Individual tickets are $75 and there are multiple table packages available. In addition to Hrabosky's presentation, there will be a photo booth, 50/50 raffle and awards presentations. 

Hrabosky was a big league pitcher for 13 seasons and is best known for his eight years with the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1975, he led the National League with 22 saves and went 13-3 with a 1.66 ERA. 

For Hrabosky's tremendous season, he was awarded Sporting News' NL Fireman of the Year. He would go on to spend time with the Kansas City Royals and the Atlanta Braves before retiring in 1982. 

Hrabosky remains a popular personality in St. Louis today. He has been a commentator on Cardinals games since 1985 and currently works on the team's television broadcasts on Fox Sports Midwest.
