Former Major Leaguer Billy Hatcher Speaks at NKU A Night with the Norse Gala Saturday

There are sure to be plenty of Cincinnati Reds fans in attendance at this year's A Night with the Norse Gala. They will be in attendance to hear from a former fan favorite and current coach, Billy Hatcher

The event is being held on Saturday at the Great American Ballpark Champions Club. Proceeds raised benefit Northern Kentucky University student-athletes through the Go Norse Fund.

Individual tickets are $125 and there are a variety of sponsorship packages available as well. The evening's attire is business formal.

Hatcher played for the Reds from 1990-92 and left a lasting impact on the franchise. He broke Babe Ruth's 62-year-old record when he hit .750 in the 1990 World Series and helped Cincinnati complete a four-game sweep.

Hatcher originally came up with the Chicago Cubs in 1984. He had the best season of his career with the Houston Astros in 1987, when he hit .296 and stole 53 bases.

Hatcher began his coaching career in the Tampa Bay Devil Rays organization and was a coach on their inaugural season staff in 1998. He has worked with the Reds since 2006.
