Former College Football Coach Houston Nutt Keynotes Benefit for Lakeside Youth Football August 12th

While he is no longer an active college football coach, Houston Nutt looks for other ways to be impactful in the sport.  Next Friday, he will keynote the second annual Ram Round Up.

The Ram Round Up benefits Lakeside Youth Football in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  It will be hosted beginning at 6 p.m. at the Lakeside Athletic Complex.

Smokin' in Style BBQ will cater the event.  Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door while various VIP table sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Nutt was the head coach of four college programs, but is best remembered for his time in the Southeastern Conference at the University of Arkansas and University of Mississippi.  He won three SEC West Division titles at Arkansas and was a three-time SEC Coach of the Year.

Nutt sports a career record of 135-96.  He had five teams finish in the season-ending top 25 and won at least nine games on six occasions.

In 1993, Nutt began his head coaching career with Murray State and led them to two Ohio Valley Conference championships.  He also spent a season at Boise State before taking the job with the Razorbacks.
