Former CBS Sports Commentator Solomon Wilcots Speaks at Elder Alumni Sports Stag Next Month

Solomon Wilcots spent the best days of his professional football career in Cincinnati. He will share some of those stories at a local speaking engagement next month.

Wilcots is scheduled to speak at the 42nd annual Edler Alumni Sports Stag. The event begins with a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and a social from 9-11 p.m.

General admission tickets are $60 and VIP tickets are $135. All proceeds benefit the Elder High School faculty.

The Bengals originally selected Wilcots in the eighth round of the 1987 NFL Draft. He spent his first four seasons with the franchise and played in 16 games three times.

Wilcots also played a full season each with the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers before retiring in 1992. He went into broadcasting and began his career as a weekend sports anchor in Cincinnati.

From 2001-17, Wilcots was a game analyst for CBS' NFL coverage. He was also formerly an Emmy-winning sideline reporter for ESPN's Sunday Night Football.
